If you want something to change, you have to show that it needs change in the first place. You need to promise a better scenario to inspire people to join your cause. You need to fuel the anger, the frustration, the hopelessness and twang directly on people's heart strings to really rally up a nation blogger.

Who knew you could do it through social media?

Russia is a nation with a cause. They're tired of being cheated, tired of being the people that have to bear the brunt of corruption and deceit and tired of being goaded into a lifestyle that they didn't imagine for themselves. Schools across the world teach their students that their future is in their hands and who is to blame when the students believe them?

One of the foremost celebrities from the recent protests that took place across Russia over November and December last year and again a few weeks ago in March 2012 was the live-journal blogger, Alexey Nalvany. A controversial revolutionary who isn't afraid to speak out about political corruption and malpractice, Nalvany gathered supporters across the country and played a large role in the organisation of the protests against the fraudulent elections fly screens retractable . Facing multiple arrests and 15-day jail sentence, Nalvany continues to blog about the reality of Russian politics and encourage the people to make a difference by voicing their frustration and demand things to be done differently. His multiple arrests over the course of the demonstrations only furthered his fame and gathered him a larger support network and now he is the unofficial face of anti-corruption movements in Russia.

Nalvany wasn't the only way the news of the protests spread. Facebook events and groups showed tens of thousands of attendees and members promising to join in for their right to fair and open elections. VKontakte, a Russian mobile site that acts very much like a mobile version of Facebook for Russian citizens, which has over 26 million subscribed monthly users, acted as a platform for intense discussion concerning the protests and the subjects they were addressing with comments appearing seconds apart wholesale Soccer Training Jersey. If an idea can go viral, the idea to protest what many Russians believe to be corrupt and 'rigged' elections did just that. Its spread across the nation is inspiring to other countries wanting to speak out against political injustice.

The 'white snow' movement against political corruption was shown by supporters wearing a white ribbon on their clothing. Sympathy protests took place in London, showing English support of the Russian's cause from a distance. Speakers, poets and rappers made appearances to encourage the movement and address the world on the nation's behalf.

The Russian people weren't the only ones using social media platforms to engage. Attempts to disrupt the protests were made through outrageous tweets disclaiming prominent members of the movement in vulgar and graphic language. Pro-Putin supporters showed up in their hoards at the protest sites, shouting out their pledges to the government and ruining the peaceful protests anti-Putin members were trying to hold. YouTube videos of orcs storming a castle with well-known anti-Putin slogans appeared online. Mobile reception and Wi-Fi access were cut off at the sites of the mass movements in a last-minute attempt to prevent communication between protesters and to discourage the march growing bigger.

Yet, despite all of this, thirty thousand people marched in Moscow alone on December 10, 2011, through invites to the Facebook event. In the face of the thousands of arrests that took place over the course of the mass protests, supporters showed up at pre-arranged destinations to show that they would not be defeated by the system.

On March 4 2012, Vladimir Putin was re-elected as Russian President for another six-year term. Having been the Russian President for two terms previously from 1999 to 2008 and then the Prime Minister, the Russian people believe his political reign has come to an end. Protests for May 1st are in the process of being organised and despite the belief that further demonstrations will amount to nothing, the fire is still alive and burning with a vengeance.

The Russian people won't stand down. The question is; where will the next battle take place? Will it be on the streets or will it be on the internet? Only time will tell.
